ICT in teaching and learning was the title of the Module which we have had in UK in April 2010. We were lucky to have a useful and helpful training seminar about ICT in teaching and learning, for improving that important competence.
We have be trained on the following subjects:
- e-Community / Citizenship
- e-Learning.
We explored current uses of ICT in everyday life (e-living), we learned how to make connections between e-living, e-community/citizenship and e-learning. We recognise how global technological developments influence social and learning and life. We had also the experience, using wireless keyboard and mouse as a learning tool, and explore electronic mind mapping as a learning tool. We heard about mobile tools and blooms for increasing awareness of pedagogical uses for and handheld devices and we became aware of a number of Web 2.0 tools. It was exciting to explore opportunities and challenges of using Web.2 tools in education.
Our trainer David introduce virtual communication methods and made us familiar with the difficulties of virtual communication. We developed a good practise guide (etiquette) for different forms of virtual communication and learned how to create a blog with Blogger.
It was great to discover all this useful tools and appropriate competences which are so helpful and useful in daily life, because digital competence is one of the eight key competences in life long learning. It involves the confident and critical use of information society technology (IST) and basic skills in information and communication technology (ICT).
Our trainer has been very successful to break down learning barriers opened our mind for using that tools with pleasure.
